It is called "Venice Island" because of the waterway that goes through Venice and connects to the Gulf, but it is NOT an island that you have to take a boat to. The house has: Living Room (queen sleeper sofa). Dining Room (separate). 1 Large bedroom beautifully furnished - a huge wall closet, queen size bed. 1 Bedroom (large walk-in closet, double bed). Large eat-in kitchen, many cabinets and a big pantry. 1 full Bath and a Powder Room (facility in the laundry-room). Laundry-room: washer, dryer and an extra cooking range (also has the "Powder Room" facility). 1 car garage(there are also many tools if needed). Front porch - screened-in and furnished with out-door furniture - wonderful spot to have morning coffee, spend a lazy afternoon reading, or a nice quiet evening - actually, one can even sit there while it is raining. The house is completely furnished with nice comfortable furniture and even some antiques. There are several sets of linens for each of the beds in the linen closet, also extra blankets and comforters. The Kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary for daily living (many of them new) such as: cookware, utensils, flatware and dishes for dining, coffee mugs and cups, new coffee maker and toaster. Bake-ware, mixer, mixing bowls glassware, wine glasses, serving-ware, etc...The cooking ranges are both electric, as well as the water-heater. There is also central A.C., heat and cable TV. Internet access connected up-on request.. The house is located within 10 min. walking distance to the beautiful "Venice Beach". Also, within walking distance (4 blocks), is the very charming and historical "Downtown Venice" - with plenty of street parking, filled with many little shops and boutiques - as well as sidewalk cafés and restaurants. A beautiful park in the middle of downtown, where there are many park-benches to sit on to enjoy the lovely surroundings and on some evenings, even listen to live music. The post office is also right in downtown. Nearby, a short drive from the house are; banks, grocery stores and K-mart. In South Venice, Wal-Mart, Target and Bells. Not to mention many other stores and places of interest, but most important of all; privacy, peace, quiet and relaxation - especially for the seniors who don't care for loud neighbors (a big problem in condos). For the avid sportsman; good fishing (just to mention a couple of places) at the wonderful and scenic "Venice Pier", a 10 minute drive South from the house and also by the "Venice Jetty" - 10 minutes North of the house - not to mention off-shore fishing and boating as well. Both are also great locations to just watch a beautiful sunset, or playful dolphins feeding. There are many golf courses for the golf enthusiasts, and for tennis lovers, public tennis courts 2 blocks from the house. Also important - should there be an emergency, the "Venice Regional Medical Center" is one mile from the house, as well as many doctors' and dentists' offices close-by. The Sarasota Airport is just 25-30 minutes away and a large indoor mall is just 20 minutes North, also in Sarasota. It is really the nicest and the most practical location in the Venice area...
