These well placed properties are close to the famous majestic castle used in the ’Harry Potter’ and ’Braveheart’ films and make an ideal holiday base from which to tour the fine castles, villages and attractions that Northumberland has to offer. Many golf courses and activites are nearby. Alnwick is centrally located to travel further north and visit Berwick-upon-Tweed with its medieval stone walls. Head south to historic Newcastle with its regenerated quayside, fine shops, galleries and restaurants. Travel east over to Bamburgh or Seahouses and take a trip to the Farne Islands taking in the fine Northumberland Heritage Coastal Route with miles of sandy beaches and rugged coastline along the way. Head west over to the Northumberland National Park area where vast moorlands and tiny villages await. Shops 40 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
