As far as beaches on the US west coast go, Lincoln City in Oregon probably is not at the top of most peoples' lists to visit. But even though you probably will not spend much time sunbathing on Oregon's beaches, there is enough to do and see in the area that booking a Lincoln City vacation rental is a great option for your next holiday.
Lincoln City vacation rentals will put you right in the middle of one of the most active towns on the Oregon coast. In addition to the miles of beaches (the city is very long and narrow, maximizing the acreage that is actually touching the Pacific Ocean) where you will find excellent beach-combing opportunities, you can go shopping in the outlet mall or the antique shops, blow your very own glass float, go on a whale watching trip, hike through the forested areas near the beach, and then kiss whatever money you have left goodbye at the local casino!
While you could do all of those things staying in a hotel, there are advantages to staying in a vacation rental in Lincoln City, Oregon. First of all, you will have lots more private space. You will have more than just a bedroom and bathroom to yourself, and that can be very nice. One of the biggest perks of a vacation home is having your own kitchen - while you should at least try the local clam chowder (who can resist a steaming bowl from Mo's?), you can save money by cooking at least some meals in your own kitchen rather than eating out all the time.
The bottom line is that although a Lincoln City vacation home rental might not be the first thing most people think of when they think of a beach vacation, the Oregon coast is a great holiday destination year-round. Because even if rainy or cold weather keeps you indoors, having a fire in the fireplace of your vacation home where you curl up with a sweetie and toast with hot cocoa sounds pretty good, too.
